Emine Akbulut is a Cybersecurity Specialist on the AT&T Managed Extended Detection and Response (MXDR) team. She is a Security Operations Center (SOC) analyst, a member of the scripting team, and works as a cybersecurity mentor. Emine currently supports the MXDR team, triaging and analyzing current threats, conducting in-depth investigations, and providing mitigation and remediation efforts for over 300 customers.  Emine has been working in the Information Technology field for three years maintaining various roles including but not limited to Data mining, Data visualizations, Machine Learning, Natural Language Processing (NLP), Project Management, Vulnerability Assessment Testing (VAT), API Scripting, and SOC. Previously, Emine worked in the Health care industry for seven years while she gained Information Management, Team Management, and Data Analysis Communications skills and she published 2 research papers.

Emine holds a Bachelor’s degree and a number of relevant cybersecurity certifications, such as the CompTIA CSAP+, CySA+, and Security+, AlienVault Security Engineer certification, and a passion for growing within Cybersecurity. Ultimately, she would like to continue gaining industry-specific experience, knowledge, and resources, in pursuit of being a reputable security analyst and valued team member. Aside from her passion for cybersecurity, she also enjoys cooking, playing tennis, and spending time with her family.
