All-in-one security monitoring solution accelerates threat detection and response in AWS environments

LAS VEGAS, NV – November 27, 2017 – At the 2017 AWS re:Invent Conference, AlienVault®, a leading provider of Unified Security Management™ (USM™) and crowd-sourced threat intelligence, announced that it has achieved Amazon Web Services (AWS) Security Competency for its USM Anywhere™ security monitoring platform. For more information about USM Anywhere’s capabilities, configurations and purchase options, please check out our product listing in the AWS Marketplace:; or stop by booth 1607 at re:Invent to see a demo of the platform.

The AWS Competency Program recognizes Amazon Partner Network (APN) partners that demonstrate technical proficiency and proven customer success in specialized solution areas, which helps enterprises to make better-informed decisions about their APN vendors. To earn the AWS Security Competency, AlienVault underwent a rigorous, AWS-led technical evaluation and had to provide evidence of real-world customer success using USM Anywhere.

“As more companies migrate their data and workloads to AWS, they need assurance in their security vendors’ ability to provide security visibility and monitoring of their AWS cloud infrastructure,” said John Maguire, vice president of business development at AlienVault. “Achieving the AWS Security Competency is a testament to our proven success and expertise in providing customers with a unified security monitoring solution for AWS cloud environments, and we are honored to earn this distinction.”

AlienVault USM Anywhere is an all-in-one security platform designed to accelerate threat detection and response in AWS cloud environments as well as on-premises physical and virtualized infrastructure, other cloud environments, and cloud applications like Office 365, Okta, and G Suite. USM Anywhere combines into a single cloud platform multiple essential security capabilities—asset discovery, vulnerability assessment, intrusion detection, behavioral monitoring, SIEM, and log management—to provide enhanced visibility into AWS environments and deliver centralized threat detection, incident response, and compliance management from a single, unified web-based console.
