AlienVault Named Best Advanced Persistent Threat (APT) Solution of the Year in 2015 Computing Security Awards
London, UK – 09 October 2015 – AlienVault, the leading provider of Unified Security Management™ solutions and crowd-sourced threat intelligence, has won the industry award for Best Advanced Persistent Threat (APT) Solution in the 2015 Computing Security Awards, which took place at the Hotel Russell in London last night.
The winners were decided democratically by nominations from the wider technology community. AlienVault’s USM platform was declared the best APT solution, beating runners-up including WatchGuard’s APT Blocker.
AlienVault’s USM provides a way for organisations with limited security staff and budget to address compliance and threat management needs. With all of the essential security controls built in, along with continuous threat intelligence updates from AlienVault Labs and the Open Threat Exchange (OTX), USM provides unparalleled security visibility for rapid threat detection and incident response.
“AlienVault is honoured to be named as a winning security solution in these awards,” said Barmak Meftah, president and CEO of AlienVault. “With today’s rapidly changing threat landscape, technology alone is not enough in the battle against cyber crime. We’re delighted that our company has been recognised by the wider IT security community for our commitment to unify the security products, intelligence and community which enable all organisations - regardless of size - to quickly detect and effectively respond to the latest threats.”
Earlier this month, AlienVault announced USM 5.2, an enhanced version of its all-in-one security platform, including additional functionalities to improve the ability of IT teams with limited resources to measure and report on payments compliance. This new version of USM delivers more than 30 new audit-ready reports for Payment Card Industry Data Security Standards (PCI DSS) compliance, to answer the most common questions from auditors.
