A roundup of the week’s news, commentary, and observations.

Friday 16th September

Joe Gray contributed a great post on the AlienVault blog laying out the basics of Security issues of WiFi – How it Works.

This is pretty cool – USBe – air-gap cover-channel via electromagnetic emission from USB. (PDF). There’s also a video showing it in action.

Little Flocker beta is out. It’s a product similar to Little Snitch, but for file access instead of network connections. Looks like an interesting tool that could be put to good use.

Another great post from the AlienVault blog was a post by Dmitry Shulinin on how to use OSSIM / USM active lists with Python scripts

The employee badge that monitors where you are and who you are talking to. Umm yeah, totally a cool thing and like “fitbit for your career”. Nothing creepy about this at all.
