One issue that our USM customers are always dealing with is regulatory compliance. We understand how time-consuming it can be to give your auditors the information they need, and we want to make your job easier.
Today we announced USM v5.2. The primary focus of this release was to provide you with some new features that will accelerate and simplify your compliance efforts. We can’t make audits go away, but we can try to make them less painful.

Here are the three primary enhancements to USM 5.2:
- Improved reporting for compliance: We’ve created new reports for PCI DSS 3.1 and HIPAA compliance, which are two of the most common regulatory requirements USM customers face. We’ve created over 30 new audit-ready reports to answer the most common questions from your auditors. We’ve also simplified the reporting interface to make it easier for you to create reports for the information they need.
- New OTX activity reports: We added new reports that identify events in your environment that contain malicious or suspicious IP addresses from the OTX database as well as events generated from indicators of compromise (IOCs) that have been identified in OTX pulses. Isolating OTX activity will help you identify emerging threats targeting your network.
- Rapid report delivery: A new reporting framework enables USM users to update existing reports independent of USM platform updates. You can easily stay up-to-date on any changes to compliance requirements.
For both USM v52 and OSSIM v5.2 we also announced that we are upgrading the underlying operating system, to provide improved performance for both products.
