Juniper SRX

When you configure your Juniper SRX to send log data to USM Appliance, you can use the Juniper SRX plugin to translate raw log data into normalized events for analysis. The table below provides some basic information for the plugin.

Integrating Juniper SRX

Before you configure the Juniper SRX integration, you must have the IP Address of the USM Appliance Sensor. Follow the procedure for configuring Juniper SRX for syslog communication with USM Appliance using either Juniper SRX CLI or Juniper SRX JWeb.

SRX Console CLI

To configure syslog through the SRX console

  1. Launch SRX and open the CLI Console.
  2. Set the USM Appliance Sensor as the syslog host:

    set system syslog host <IP address of the USM Appliance Sensor> any any

SRX JWeb

To configure syslog through SRX JWeb

  1. Log in to the Juniper SRX device.
  2. Click Configure > CLI Tools > Point and Click CLI.
  3. Expand System and click Syslog.
  4. In the Host section of the Syslog page (bottom-right), click Add New Entry.
  5. Enter the IP address of the USM Appliance Sensor.
  6. Click Apply.

Integrating Juniper SRX

  5. Enter the IP address of the USM Appliance Sensor.
  6. Click Apply.
