When you configure your HP BladeSystem to send log data to USM Appliance, you can use the HP BladeSystem Chassis plugin to translate raw log data into normalized events for analysis. The table below provides some basic information for the plugin.

Integrating HP BladeSystem
Before you configure the HP BladeSystem integration, you must have the IP Address of the USM Appliance Sensor.
To configure HP BladeSystem to send Syslog messages to USM Appliance
- From the Active Onboard Administrator GUI, open the System Log subcategory.
- On the Log Options tab page, select the Enable remote system logging checkbox.
- in the Syslog Server Address field, specify the USM Appliance IP address/hostname.
- In the Port field, add 514.
- Click Apply to save your settings.
