When you configure your Dell EMC RecoverPoint to send log data to USM Appliance, you can use the Dell EMC RecoverPoint plugin to translate raw log data into normalized events for analysis. The table below provides some basic information for the plugin.

Integrating Dell EMC RecoverPoint

Before you configure the Dell EMC RecoverPoint integration, you must have the IP Address of the USM Appliance Sensor.

To configure Dell EMC RecoverPoint to send Syslog messages to USM Appliance

1. In the Unisphere for RecoverPoint client, select Admin > System Notifications > Manage Event Filters.
2. In the bottom pane of the Event Filters display, select the Syslog tab.
3. Select or check the Enable Syslog Notifications checkbox.
4. Select a Facility.
5. Add the USM Appliance Sensor IP Address in each of the clusters from which you wish to send information.
6. Click Apply.
