When you configure your Dell EqualLogic to send log data to USM Appliance, you can use the Dell EqualLogic plugin to translate raw log data into normalized events for analysis. The table below provides some basic information for the plugin.

Integrating Dell EqualLogic
Before you configure the Dell EqualLogic integration, you must have the IP Address of the USM Appliance Sensor.
To configure Dell EqualLogic to send Syslog messages to USM Appliance
- From the Group Manager GUI, click Group Configuration > Notifications.
- In the Event Logs section, select Send events to syslog servers and click Add. In the Add List Item dialog box, specify the following fields:
- IP address: Enter the Server IP Address as the IP of your Sensor.
- Port: 514
- Under Event Priorities: Select the event priorities that result in syslog server notification.
- Click Save all changes.
