When you configure your Brocade Router/Switch to send log data to USM Appliance, you can use the Brocade Router/Switch plugin to translate raw log data into normalized events for analysis. The table below provides some basic information for the plugin.

Integrating Brocade Router/Switch
Before you configure the Brocade Router/Switch integration, you must have the IP Address of the USM Appliance Sensor.
To configure Brocade Router/Switch to send Syslog messages to USM Appliance
In global configuration mode, configure a router/switch to forward system messages to the USM Appliance Sensor:
logging syslog-server <USM Appliance IP address> [ use-vrf <vrf-name> [ secure ] [ port port-num ]
no logging syslog-server <USM Appliance IP address> [ use-vrf <vrf-name> [ secure ] [ port port-num ]
where parameters specified in commands are the following:
- use-vrf: Specifies a VRF instance.

secure: Configures a secure default port (514) or specified non-default syslog server port.
Note: A secure port number with default values is not shown in the Brocade Network OS database.
