IT professionals who implement, operate, or support security systems

Preparing for the AVSE Exam
Review the AVSE Exam Blueprint. The blueprint shows the specific objectives for the AVSE exam. Refer to the topics listed on the blueprint, and the relative weight given to each topic, as a guide to the knowledge and skills you will need.
Take the USM Anywhere training classes. This step is optional. You are not required to take training classes in order to take the AVSE certification exam. However, we recommend that you take two classes: USM Anywhere: Deploy, Configure, Manage (ANYDC) and USM Anywhere: Security Analysis (ANYSA). Unless you have extensive experience with USM Anywhere, you will likely learn skills in the classes that are necessary on the job and are required for success on the exam. Each delegate who takes either the USM Anywhere: Deploy, Configure, Manage (ANYDC) training or the USM Anywhere: Security Analysis (ANYSA) training receives a voucher to take the AT&T Cybersecurity Certified Security Engineer (AVSE) certification exam at no additional charge.
Registering for the AVSE Exam
Obtain an exam voucher. In order to take the AVSE exam, you need an exam voucher. A voucher is a 16-digit alphanumeric code. Vouchers are valid for 6 months from the date they are issued.
If you pass the exam, congratulations! You will receive your certificate and logo by email.
If you do not pass the exam, you will receive an email showing you how you performed on each section of the exam. The sections match the AVSE Exam Blueprint. You can use this information to help you prepare for your next attempt at the exam. To retake the exam please contact DL-CyberTraining@att.com to request a second voucher.
The AVSE certification is valid for three years from the date on which you earn it. Your expiration date is printed on your certificate. If you do not have an exam voucher you can obtain one by taking the current version of either the USM Anywhere: Deploy, Configure, Manage class or the USM Anywhere: Security Analysis class. To apply for an exception please contact DL-CyberTraining@att.com.
If you pass the exam, you will receive a new AVSE certificate valid for 3 years from the date of your exam.
